Here are five things you need to know for this weekend in Irmo.

1. Back to School Bash
Bring the kids to Inner Courts Church near Irmo Saturday for live music, a fashion show, face painting and displays from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. The event will last from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and will be at the church at 25 Bluebird Trail.
A crime scene investigation truck, a robot and bomb truck and a Lake Murray Marine Patrol boat from the sheriff's department will be on display. For more information, call Deputy Dan Rusinyak at 803-518-7795.
2. Corks & Canvas
Paint, wine, food and fun! Head over to Macaroni Grill on Harbison Boulevard Saturday for a session of step-by-step painting. See the details and register here.
3. Yard Sale Benefit for Fallen Deputy
Proceeds from a yard sale this weekend will benefit the daughters of Richland County Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Derek El Dada and his wife Leigh, who were killed in a motorcycle crash in June. Sgt. El Dada was assigned to the Dutch Fork region.
The yard sale will be from 8 a.m. to noon in the North Springs Recreation Center parking lot at 1320 Clemson Road. Items for sale include clothes, appliances, books, toys, DVDs, baby items, CDs, furniture and more. The Citizens Academy Alumni Association is hosting the sale.
4. Bunco for Brain Cancer
Come out to The Flight Deck in Lexington for a Ladies Night Out filled with fun, fellowship, dice throwing and your favorite Thirty One prodcuts - all for a good cause! This event is a fundraiser forRichard Culliver, a Lexington boy with brain cancer. See all the event details here.
5. Looking to volunteer?
Looking for a place to volunteer? Caris Healthcare in West Columbia needs volunteers to read to, cook for and visit with patients.
