What are they recognizing this school board for?  Raising taxes and giving themselves a big pay raise.  I think $10,000 a year to go to a few meetings is a lot of money.  It would seem to me a small stipend to pay for expenses would be enough.  Other people who serve and spend a lot more time don't get paid.  Like PTO presidents, SEC chair people and on an on.  In my  opinion we need a new school board and we need terms where people can't stay on forever and use their position for favoritism for their own families.
