ReplyElizabeth Colbert-Busch may be "a comedian's sister"-- in addition to an accomplished business woman and job creator-- but, the only joke in this election is Mark "Walking the Appalachian Trail" Sanford.

ReplyMr. Groce has not even touched on the Mark Sanford's ethics violations which resulted in the largest fine in SC history. That episode should be worthy of another column to expand on what the candidate that the GOP if offering SC 1 voters.

ReplyThese bills are just Haley's latest attack on workers and educators.
The first bill is unnecessary in a "right to work" state. Workers can be fired for any reason or no reason. Unemployment is only awarded if the employer can't provide a reasonable explanation-- which would include all the situations covered in the bill.
The second bill is simply Haley another installment in Haley's campaign to discredit SC public education. She wants to privatize it and this is one way to convince the voters that teachers are deadbeats on the public payroll. -

ReplyAs usual, framing the question is crucial-- and your questions are so simplistically phrased that it practically dictates that a practicing Christian answer "Yes."
How about this: "Should people of all faiths be forced to listen to a prayer of a single faith in the only graduation ceremony for ALL graduates of a TAXPAYER FUNDED schoo?

Sorry, Michael Smith. The United States is governed under the U.S. Constitution-- if you don't like it and prefer a theocracy then I suggest that you join the loons that created the websites which mis-inform you and found a new country.

Just to be clear, Joe: You offer absolutely NO evidence to support your name-calling and you're willing to support an untrustworthy, irresponsible and ineffective career politician who has precious few achievements to recommend him after years in public office. You facilely predict the future, yet ignore Sanford's history. You laughably speak for EVERY voter before they (or, obviously, you) become acquainted with Ms. Colbert Busch.
Do you always speak so confidently from ignorance?
