After hours of watching the Newtown school shooting story unfold, all I could think about was being able to hold my own child a little more tightly.
Simpsonville may have changed over the years, but the people are still some of the friendliest I've met.
Flags of red, white and blue. Men and women in uniform. Messages of love, and peace, and patriotism. Random acts of kindness. And an overwhelming sense of pride. It was a funeral for a hero.
