We have relaunched our Readers' Choice contest with dozens of new categories, including clothing.
Car repairs can always be dreadful, but maybe not if you know the right mechanic. Many of us waiting until the muffler falls off, the engine’s billowing smoke or your tires come to a squealing halt before it becomes clear that a mechanic is needed. But who do you call? With mom-and-pop shops, word of mouth can go a long way. That’s why we are asking you our Patch friends and family do you have a favorite auto mechanic in your town? Local shops are a great find. While they may not tout the speed of their competition, their work is skillfully done and at times, cheaper than the competition.. As flowers are springing up all over town, it seems like an appropriate time to talk about the folks who are peddling petals. For those of you who wait until the last minute, Mother's Day is May 13. With that in mind, it's time to think about that all important bouquet for the woman who gave you life or makes your days special. While it may be a bit too early to go and buy them, it is never too early to start thinking about where you are going to buy your flowers. My Daughter is getting married at saluda Shoals in June 2013, it was to be this June 2012 but she has been helping me out which is her mother I have had medical problems the last 3 yrs starting in March 2010 I had my Left Kidney removed it had cancer and 3 surgeries in 2 yrs.
