The votes are in, and Patch readers have named Riverbanks Zoo the best park in the St. Andrews and Irmo area. The zoo took 60 percent of the vote in our Readers' Choice poll, competing against six other parks. Saluda Shoals Park came in second with 40 percent of the vote. Voters chose Publix as their favorite place to purchase groceries.
The votes are in and Publix has been named Best Grocery Store in this week's Patch Readers' Choice contest. Publix received 41 percent of the votes. Kroger was a close second with 33 percent followed by Bi-Lo with 25 percent. Publix has three locations in the Irmo-Seven Oaks area: Feel free to leave a review of these grocery stores and other businesses in our local directory. Next week, Patch is looking for the "Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day." The voting begins at 5 a.m. on Monday.
