Chapin We Care Center Awarded State Farm Grant

A local State Farm agent who volunteers at Chapin We Care Center presented the organization with a grant.

Chapin We Care Center was awarded a State Farm Good Neighbor Grant for the second year in a row. 

State Farm Agent Scott Hanners presented the $500 donation from the Good Neighbor Grant program to Maggie Siegfried, director of Chapin We Care Center.  

The grant program recognizes the importance of supporting organizations that are important to State Farm associates.

The grant is awarded to an eligible non-profit organization where a State Farm associate volunteers a minimum of 40 hours per year. Hanners volunteers on the Board of Directors and collects food from local businesses each month to help support Chapin We Care Center.

The Chapin We Care Center’s mission is “Providing food and warmth for those in need in Chapin and surrounding communities.”

Hanners has owned Scott Hanners Insurance & Financial Services, Inc. operating as a State Farm Agency at 500-A Lexington Ave. in Chapin for the past six years.

Hanners has served as a volunteer on Chapin We Care Center’s Board for the past three years. He continues to promote Chapin We Care Center in the local business community and is always looking for new ways to assist the organization.
