Teen Accused of Making Sexual Comments to Irmo Middle Girls

Deputies say the 16-year-old boy made inappropriate comments and sexually suggestive motions to several Irmo Middle female students Tuesday.

A 16-year-old boy is charged with disturbing schools after Lexington County deputies say he made vulgar comments and sexually suggestive motions to several female students outside Irmo Middle School Tuesday.

The teen was charged Friday and released into his mother's custody, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. He will be prosecuted in family court.

He also was placed on trespass notice from Irmo Middle. Deputies say he is not enrolled as a student at any Lexington-Richland District Five schools or at any other school in the area.

Deputies say the teen was standing against a fence outside Irmo Middle School near the Quail Valley Plaza shopping center around 3:43 p.m. Tuesday when he made the inappropriate comments to several female students.

He was dressed in a dark jacket that was unzipped and a white garment that left most of his upper torso exposed, according to the sheriff's departmnet. His hair was styled in "Pippi Longstocking braids," and he was wearing blue jeans with the zipper unzipped.

Several female students told a school crossing guard that they saw the boy inappropriately touching himself, according to the sheriff's department. The crossing guard notified a Lexington County deputy who is a resource officer at the school.
