We love this day! Not only are pet lovers celebrating the companionship they receive from their own pets, it encourages others to adopt when they consider adding a four-legged friend to their family.
For the 2012 celebration, pet lovers took a break from working like a dog to work with their dogs to recognize the special role dogs play in our lives and to raise awareness for homeless pets. Pawmetto Lifeline invited local businesses to participate in the 2012 Bring Your Dog to Work Day celebration (and we participated ourselves)!

Take Your Dog to Work Day was established by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1999. This annual event urges businesses around the globe to experience the joys of dogs in the workplace for just one day to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to promote their adoption from local shelters, rescue groups and humane societies.
