The first day of the 38th Annual Irmo Okra Strut Festival was filled with music and dancing
Music from Coastal Breeze and The O'Kaysions had those who attended the 38th Annual Irmo Okra Strut Festival dancing the night away.
Amusement rides, food and an okra-eating contest was some of the night's highlights.
Mike Young, of Columbia, won the 2011 Okra-eating Contest. Young, who moved to the Midlands from California, recieved a $150 prize.
