Six Candidates Filed to Run for District 5 School Board
The filing period for local school boards has closed. Six candidates filed for three at-large seats.
Six candidates filed to run for three at-large seats on Lexington-Richland 5 school board, election and voter registration officials said.
In November, voters will decide between three incumbents and their opponents.
Incumbents are Jan Hammond and Beth Watson for the two Lexington County seats, and Robert Gantt for the seat in Richland County.

- Ed Yates and Jondy Loveless in Lexington County
- Melissa Cole in Richland County
The terms are for four years on the seven-member board.
