Photos: Hundreds Enjoy Brew at the Zoo
The annual fundraiser at Riverbanks Zoo is full of suds and safari.
The annual Brew at the Zoo fundraiser at Riverbanks Zoo brought several hundred visitors out on a warm Friday night.
Tickets, which were sold for between $30 and $50, entitled guests to samples of dozens of domestic and import beers, live music and zoo presentations.
Among the more than 100 volunteers serving beer to guests were several Midlands-area Patch editors.
Each year, Patch employees volunteer at least five work days.
We will be sharing our photos of the event here, and we encourage you to do the same.

Thanks to Jessie Gable (editor for St. Andrews and Spring Valley Patch) for getting us involved in this fun evening. It was great to spend the evening with Shawn Drury (S.C. political editor), Shireese Bell (Irmo Patch editor) and hundreds of new friends out at the Founders Brewery truck.
We poured a lot of Dirty Bastard, Pale Ale and Red's Rye PA for the Michigan-based brewery. And we learned a lot in the process.
