Love Ligons Named Nursery Road Elementary's New Principal
Love Ligons, an administrative assistant principal at Nursery Road Elementary School, will serve as the school's new principal.
A familiar face will lead Nursery Road Elementary School this school year.
Love Ligons, an administrative assistant principal at the school, has been hired as its new principal.
“I am honored and excited to be the new principal of Nursery Road," Ligons said in a release. "I count it a privilege to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of professional men and women who believe in doing what’s best for children."
"We will continue the legacy of always putting children first. I’m looking forward to the journey.”
Ligons replaces Dr. Christina Melton, who accepted a job as director of elementary education for Lexington-Richland Five.
Ligons has 10 years of experience in public education.
Prior to working at Nursery Road Elementary, Ligons taught elementary school in District 5, Aiken County Public Schools and Gwinnett, Georgia.
Ligons has a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of South Carolina in Aiken and a Master of Education degree from USC.
