Irmo High Competing to Win $10K, Free Taylor Swift Concert
Help students win a $10,000 prize and free concert by voting for the school in an online contest.
Irmo High School students need your vote to help them win a $10,000 prize and a free Taylor Swift concert.
Irmo High students are competing against schools from across the country to win $10,000 for the school's music department and a free Taylor Swift concert at their school.
“We at Irmo High are trying adamantly to get the word out, to get as many votes as possible, and to ultimately win this contest," Rachel Catalano, one of the students working to organize the effort, said in a release.
The concert, which will be held on or around Oct. 15, will be taped for “VH1 Storytellers: Taylor Swift.”
The show will air on VH1 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11.
The winner of the contest will be decided based on the number of votes a school receives in relation to its size.
To vote, visit the website, www.TaylorSwiftOnCampus.com, and "like" Swift's Facebook page. You can the enter the name of your school.
The contest is open to all accredited high schools and colleges in the United States.
You can also vote for Dutch Fork and Chapin high schools.
The contest ends on Sept. 23.
