Driver charged with felony DUI in fatal crash that killed 7-year-old boy
Update at 10:30 Nov. 1:The Lexington County Coroner's Office reports 10-year-old Haley Upchurch has died.
Original story: The 10-year-old sister of a young boy killed in a Friday night crash in Lexington County remains in critical condition at an area hospital, according to this report from WIS-TV.
Meanwhile, Robert Craft, 37, of Pelion, has been charged with felony DUI involving death, felony DUI involving great bodily injury, and having an open container of beer or wine in a motor vehicle, according to a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department booking report.
A cash/surety bond amount has been set for one of the charges.
The two-vehicle crash occured around 8:20 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of South Lake Drive and Foxborough Boulevard in the Red Bank community.
A 1992 Chevrolet Lumina, traveling eastbound on South Lake Drive, was turning into a driveway when it was struck by a 2000 Dodge truck traveling westbound, according to Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman. All occupants of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals.
Lumina passenger Cameron L. Upchurch, 7, was pronounced dead at Lexington Medical Center from injuries he received. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
S.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Bryan Mac Dougald said that SCHP's Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team is now investigating the crash, and MacDougald added there would be no further details of the crash until that investigation is complete. MAIT investigations, which meticulously reconstruct fatal accidents, can take several weeks to be completed.

I think he should have to live the rest of is life in prison. If you think about it the two kids's parents will have to in a way couse now every time they pass that spot it will tear them apart. Best wishes to the parents an the whole family. Sorry for your lose
